Will I have to talk about anything that is too personal, or that I do not feel comfortable sharing with the group?

No. Nada, not even a bit! We always will give you the disclaimer that anything you want to share is okay, and anything that you do not want to share is equally okay. We strive to make the environment open and free of judgment. The goal is to learn about your life experiences, biases and opinions, so we hope you will share anything on those topics that helps the cases we are presenting, but never to the detriment of your comfort level in doing so.

What do I wear?

This experience is all about you being comfortable, so whatever it is you feel the most YOU wearing.

What will you do with the information I entered into the form?

We will keep all of your answers safely in our database and it will not be handed over to anyone.

Can I bring a friend or spouse?

We love that you love your friends and spouses, but our goal is to have everyone come alone and not know any of the other participants. The reason being is we are looking for unfettered and open communications, and sometimes having a spouse or friend in the room can influence those open and frank discussions.

Can I attend a Focus Group twice or even three times?

We welcome your participation and desire to share with us! We welcome individuals coming to our focus groups on more than one occasion, but in the event we are presenting cases more than once for folks, we will make sure you do not hear the same thing twice in order to ensure you have a blank slate on the topics.

Can I attend the group for part of the scheduled time?

Unfortunately the answer is no. Because the presentations often flow from the very beginning to the end, we cannot have people coming and going.

How will I get paid?

Each participant will receive a company check handed out at the end of the session.  It can be cashed or deposited right away, just like any other check.

What is involved in doing a Focus Group?

Our focus groups are not just jury studies – they are moderated group discussions about a variety of topics, ranging from safety in the community to your attitudes about current events and ongoing legal matters.  You will sit with the group throughout the session and be asked to consider facts and provide valuable input that our organization will pass on to the individuals or organizations who are seeking information about the topics that are discussed.

Where are you located?

Our office is Keenan’s Kids Foundation, located in Waterside Business Center on the south side of 98 next to Tortoise Clinic.

Is there anything I should bring if I am selected?

No, there is no need to bring anything special to the focus group.  We provide all materials you will need for the day.
